Component marking for extreme process conditions – ceramic phosphors in metal processing
At the Fraunhofer IKTS site in Dresden-Klotzsche our focus is on developing advanced non-destructive testing solutions for ceramics and many other materials. We are constantly working on new solutions. We would like to present some of these to you in our new NDT4INDUSTRY online seminar series. We want to make it live and interactive – so keep watching!
Next seminar on June 1, 2022, 3:00 p.m. CEST “Component marking for extreme process conditions – ceramic phosphors in metal processing” with Manuela Heymann (Optical Test Methods and Nanosensors group at Fraunhofer IKTS)
The requirements in metal processing, such as high temperatures and special atmospheres demand adapted solutions for component marking. With CeraCode®, researchers at Fraunhofer have developed a marking for metal components that withstands even high temperatures without affecting the component’s properties.
In this NDT4INDUSTRY seminar Dr. Manuela Heymann gives a theoretical insight into requirements, challenges and quality assurance for individual part marking in metal processing. Furthermore, the printing process and quality monitoring at the test bench will be presented in a lab tour.
