AI-based acoustic diagnostics – early detection of defects and wear
At the Fraunhofer IKTS site in Dresden-Klotzsche our focus is on developing advanced non-destructive testing solutions for ceramics and many other materials. We are constantly working on new solutions. We would like to present some of these to you in our new NDT4INDUSTRY online seminar series.
Next seminar on November 23, 2022, 3:00 p.m. CET – AI-based acoustic diagnostics – early detection of defects and wear – with Dr. Ivan Kraljevski (Cognitive Material Diagnostics)
Acoustic diagnostic methods detect faulty components or critical processes quickly and precisely due to their unique noise patterns.
As a wide range of materials can be evaluated, it can be used for condition monitoring of wear and other parts in many industries (automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, paper and food industry, energy industry, etc.). The acoustic diagnostic techniques can be furthermore combined with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods, such as pattern recognition and machine learning, which enable automatic and reliable analysis in real time.
Dr. Ivan Kraljevski will present acoustic diagnostic solutions developed at Fraunhofer IKTS for various applications, such as anomaly detection in sensor networks for non-destructive testing in aerospace and structural health monitoring of machine components.
