Neuromorphic Organic Devices & Symposium on Sustainable Electronic Systems
From Organic Neuromorphic Devices TO Sustainable Electronic Systems
The 6th NOD Conference seeks to bring together two rapidly growing communities: researchers developing printed organic neuromorphic systems and pioneers in bio-materials and biotechnology for electronics. The event will foster exchange on the capabilities and prospects of emerging materials and fabrication approaches. Furthermore, we will discuss whether entirely new functionalities, such as multi-modal sensing or actuation, can be realized based on the unique features of bio-based materials.
21.-25. September 2026
Bad Schandau, Germany
For the first time, the workshop will be expanded into a full five-day event, reflecting the growing impact and ambition of research in neuromorphic organic devices. In addition, NOD 2026 will be combined with a Symposium on Sustainable Electronic Systems, featuring in-depth tutorials and discussions across key topics such as:
• Bio-based and sustainable materials for electronics
• Green manufacturing approaches
• Decomposition and reuse strategies
• Life-cycle assessment and sustainable-by-design principles
Thanks to the generous support of the Joachim Herz Foundation, the conference will offer excellent conditions while remaining accessible to a broad scientific community.
Call for abstracts: April 1 – May 29, 2026
