Heliatek – Launch of EIFFEL European Doctoral Training Network

EU Project start

We are proud to announce the commencement of the “EIFFEL” Doctoral Network project under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, funded within the Horizon Europe programme. The full project name is „EffIcient Fullerene-Free organic solar cELs“. Starting from the 1st of February 2024 the project is set to create a dynamic doctoral network with 10 esteemed institutions as Beneficiaries and 10 organizations as Associated Partners from various corners of the continent that spans across Europe.

With a vision to contribute to scientific advancements and nurture the next generation of leaders in the field, the EIFFEL Doctoral Network has outlined plans to recruit ten doctoral candidates. These candidates will have the unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and receive specialized training, preparing them for leadership roles in academia and industry.

The collaborative efforts among the ten institutions involved in the doctoral network and the support of partner organizations will not only enhance the quality of research but also contribute significantly to the European research landscape. The project’s focus on fostering international cooperation and knowledge sharing aligns seamlessly with the Horizon Europe program’s objectives of promoting excellence, innovation, and the mobility of researchers.

The first EIFFEL project meeting will take place on 27-28 February 2024 at IFW Dresden, Germany. The Consortium gathers for the Kick-off meeting organized at the premises of the EIFFEL Coordinator. For the event, several sessions are scheduled to cover aspects related to scientific research, recruitment of the PhD students, project management, training strategy, dissemination and data management.
