Internationalisierung Japan

Classification and history of cooperation

Within the framework of the BMBF-funded project „OES-International“ (2016-2017), the cooperation between OES and the industrial cluster YU-FIC at Yamagata University in Japan was initiated and stabilized with the aim of joint R&D activities. In the second half of the project (implementation phase), two OES-led consortia applied for publicly funded R&D projects in order to intensify industrial and research contacts. The projects started in February and August 2018, respectively:

In addition to these projects, the contacts and relationships established in recent years will also be used to further network the OES members and other Saxon actors within the framework of the SMWA-funded cross-cluster initiative „Sensorik Sachsen“ (SenSa) to promote sensor activities in Saxony.

Joint cooperation and networking activities are described below.

March 20-21, 2019  |  LOPEC 2019

10 OES Members present at LOPEC in Munich

Organic Electronics Saxony (OES) presented itself with ten exhibitors on a total exhibition area of 80m2 at LOPEC.

The technology network OES presented new developments together with its members at this year’s LOPEC under the motto „be flexible“. Through the use of innovative technologies, it has been possible to convert two-dimensionally printed and assembled electronics into 3D forms using thermoforming, allowing more design flexibility. The latest developments show that sensitive, printed electronics can also be specifically formed in a roll-to-roll process suitable for mass production. The first formed films equipped with LEDs were presented and discussed with the specialist audience.

As in 2018, Japanese partners were again part of the OES joint booth in 2019. A total of three partners presented their developments in the field of flexible, organic electronics. The LOPEC trade fair has developed into the second central exchange point for cluster cooperation alongside Nanotech in Tokyo.
